POLYMER
It is a natural or synthetic compound formed by polymerization of monomers .The results are a chemical union of little molecules (monomers)(ex: glucose, cellulose, ethylen, Nylon , polypropylen...)
The primary component of all plastics is mainly oil and its derivatives.
One plastic is a raw material that can distort itself under the action of the heat and/or of the pressure.

RESIN TO MOLD
A resin  is composed in general of a number important of product: the basic matter (the polymer), the loads(0 à 60%) ,colorant(1 à 5%), the adjuvants(0 à 3%), the stabilisants(1 à 2%) plasticising ,leses (0 à 50%). It is therefore indispensable to be very prudent on the properties of plastics that can varied in important proportions following the pure resin rate. (decrease of the mechanical properties, migrations of the plasticizers ect..)

THERMOSET
The plastics, that under the action of the heat and/or of the pressure make a network with cross-linking linear molecules . Resin has a steady three-dimensional structure that forbids him a new formatting.
The cockles of boats made of polyesters and numerous electric holds are cast with thermosets.
These such plastics are  with difficulty recyclable.

THERMOPLAST
Thermoplastics are the category queen of plastics. Under the action of the heat, material becomes pasty permitting its formatting. The molecules form a crystalline or amorphous bidimensional network The cycle can repeat itself nearly endlessly.
Most objects of the current life are manufactured with this type of resin

ELASTOMERS
The elastomers have an intermediate structure between the TDS and the TPS. They can distort themselves in an important manner under the effect of the efforts. They can be either recyclable such the TP(SEBSS) or non recyclable as the TDS (rubber)

LOADS
They are used mainly to decrease the  price of resin or to bring a very particular property (visual wheigt effect) .Elleses are either mineral as asbestos,  silica,  talc ,metallic powders, fiberglasses or organic as the wood flour, the soy, the cork ect... .Elleses must not harm to quality of matter. The rate of load varies 0% à 60%.

COVERING WITH PLASTIFIANT
these are compounds able to make flexible matters for a holding at low température

CONSOLIDATING
They have for mission to prevent the oxidization of matter as well during the transformation that in its exposure to the climatic conditions (UV).

COLORING
To get colored material, the addition of colorant is necessary. The colorants have a non negligible effect on the properties of resin.

ADDITIVE
One also adds a number varied of products like:
fungicid,  retarders of combustion, bactericid, foaming agents ,dispersing agents , lubricants,  encapsulated medicines, perfumes ect...
